DRANICA and ViaGastrocarpathia represent key milestones in our long-term initiative to build a sustainable platform for safeguarding and promoting the traditional crafts of our region.
ViaGastrocarpathia is a cross-border cultural and tourism route spanning Maramureș (Romania), Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (Hungary), and Transcarpathia (Ukraine). Designed as a discovery tool, it invites visitors to explore the most valuable places, people, and living traditions of the Carpathian Euroregion.
DRANICA marks the first focused thematic step along the ViaGastrocarpathia route, shining a spotlight on the region’s unique immaterial wooden heritage and the knowledge behind traditional woodworking practices. This is only the beginning. Further thematic journeys will follow as we continue to expand and enrich this shared cultural platform. Stay connected.
