Teleptean Florin

We invite you to meet Florin Teleptean, a craftsman from the Maramureș, Romania, who has been working with wood for 20 years. In his small workshop located in the village of Vadu Izei he transforms wood into real art objects. Driven by passion, he focused initially on traditional motifs and miniature wooden houses, but now he is keen on more modern works like small yet functional furniture or stylized bowls. In his workshop there are both modern equipment and hand tools such as chisels or saws which he uses to make smaller wooden objects.
Most of the time, to create his pieces of art Florin uses hardwood, walnut, cherry or oak, which he takes from the locals, either from those who make timber or from those who bring fire wood. Inside his workshop, he has a small showroom, with most products being unique.
When he is not in his workshop, you can find him at various trade fairs. He promotes his products through his own website, but also through social networks. Curious tourists stop by his workshop to admire or buy his beautiful works.
